    Lisbon AGM summary

    Dear all fellow dispatchers,

    We concluded our latest AGM last thursday 8th of may and we wanted thank everyone who attended.

    We reported about our busy year which included continuous work on our RMT, our inclusion in the Airbus Sesar project, Dispatch Insight with Boeing and other smaller matters.

    Our financial report from ´24 was approved and Frodi was elected vice-president for further 2 years, Ellidi Jonsson and Barbara Prosch were elected auditors.

    The biggest news from the meeting was Sevda´s decision to retire as Secretary. Lovely Sevda, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your dedication, kindness, and tireless work over the years. Your commitment—whether in organizing, coordinating, or gathering support through sponsorships—has made a lasting impact. You’ve been more than just a secretary; you’ve been the heart of our team. We’ll miss your energy and spirit, but we’re so happy for you as you begin this next chapter. Enjoy every moment—you’ve truly earned it.

    As a result, Halldis Hulda from Icelandair was elected Secretary. Congratulations Hulda and welcome aboard.

    Flight Dispatcher Days in January at EUROCONTROL in Brussels

    Dear all fellow dispatchers,

    An action from the Airline Operations Group (AOG) in EUROCONTROL has been to organize a workshop dedicated to exposing flight dispatchers to the latest EUROCONTROL operational (flight planning) services and tools in support of their daily jobs.

    EUROCONTROL is delighted to invite you to the Flight Dispatcher Days, a face-to-face event dedicated to flight dispatchers and flight planners, taking place on 17-18 January 2024 at our Brussels Headquarters.

    This two-day event aims to enhance the knowledge and skills required to make the best possible use of our Network Manager operational systems – in order to optimise flight planning, including rejection handling and delay reduction techniques.

    Key features of the event include:

    • Sharing of knowledge & best practices: Facilitating the exchange of knowledge, best practices, and NM insights among flight dispatchers. Participants can share their experiences, strategies, and lessons learnt, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
    • Networking and collaboration: Taking the opportunity to connect with other flight dispatchers and NM experts and to expand your professional network. Participants can provide feedback, share their perspective and together explore ways for collaborating with stakeholders more effectively.
